Semen from ‘Allendale National’ AEDW168 is now available for sale in Canada & the United States. ‘National’ offers superior outcross genetics for discerning cattle producers.
‘National’ is a proven Sire backed up by data. He has been used in 43 herds; and his Breedplan data includes 684 progeny, 301 scans & data on 104 daughters.Click here for Pedigree & EBVs and here for EBV graph.
“National” was Grand Champion at the Australian Poll Hereford National Show & Sale in June 2003, judged by Kevin Jensen (Kansas USA) and purchased by Redgate for a record breaking $A85, 000.
- Semen was sold to New Zealand in 2003 and to Argentina in 2005.
- ‘National’ was awarded the ‘Poll Hereford Sire of the Year’ for 2006.
- Trait leader for 7 EBVs - gestation length; 200, 400 & 600 day weights; milk; scrotal size & retail beef yield.
- In top 10% (or better) for ten EBVs and top 1% for all $Indexes in Winter 2009 Breedplan.
- Accuracy is above 85% for 12 EBVs.
"National" is deep cherry red in colour & short marked, with soft skin & hair all of which he has endowed to his progeny.
All his daughters have, to the best of our knowledge, adequate milk, sound udders and no significant issues with calving ease.
"National's" daughters' milk EBVs are outstanding - 94 rank in the top 5% and 267 out of 270 are above breed average!
